Actor Roy Alvarez Dies at 63 Due to Cardiac Arrest

Last February 7, we heard the news about the death of Tado and Justice Cuevas, who were both well-known in the Philippines. Now, the death of Roy Alvarez, a well known character actor-director-environmentalist, saddened the entertainment industry and fans.
Roy Alvarez died at around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11, due to cardiac arrest. The actor is well known for his exceptional acting on soaps like Amaya (GMA 7) and Guns and Roses (ABS-CBN) both on 2011 and many others. He was also reportedly active as president of the environment watchdog Eco-Waste Coalition.

Roy Alvarez' real name is Leandro Delantar Alvarez. He was born on March 23, 1950, in Pagbilao, Quezon.
